Waiting On Wednesday: A Court of Miracles by Kester Grant.

Hey guys! It's time for another Waiting on Wednesday and this time I'm talking about A Court of Miracles by Kester Grant. This one sadly isn't due until mid-2019, but I honestly cannot wait for it. Check out this blurb:

A diverse fantasy reimagining of Les Misérables and The Jungle Book.

In the dark days following a failed French Revolution, in the violent jungle of an alternate 1828 Paris, young cat-burglar Eponine (Nina) Thenardier goes head to head with merciless royalty, and the lords of the city's criminal underworld to save the life of her adopted sister Cosette (Ettie).

Her vow will take her from the city’s dark underbelly, through a dawning revolution, to the very heart of the glittering court of Louis XVII, where she must make an impossible choice between guild, blood, betrayal and war.

Okay, so the premise is Les Miserables meets The Jungle Book, and that in itself just makes me so excited. Even more than that, it focuses on four of my favourite characters; Eponine, Cosette, Montparnasse, and ENJOLRAS (Yes, caps are needed. Enjolras is amazing). Honestly, this is like the book of my dreams simply for that. Not to mention the author has taken one of my favourite things from fanfiction and made Eponine and Cosette sisters. Just... I'm so excited.

Then there's the Jungle Book elements. Details are few from what I've seen but the animals apparently have human counterparts which, well, I love it. Just love it. Add in the fact that there's also Louis XVII and I am completely sold.

Also it's diverse. Did I mention that? Diverse books are so so needed, especially in YA, and that just makes me want to buy this book even more. POC thieves guild Eponone? YES PLEASE!

I'm so excited I can hardly put it into words, and I hope you are too!

Thanks for reading!
