Fancast Friday: State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury

Hey guys! For the first time in forever (no Frozen jokes please, haha) I have a new Fancast Friday for you all! This is the latest book by my favourite author, which I absolutely adored, and so I had so much fun putting together this fancast. Some of the names are a little obscure because I've honestly been really into my theatre lately, but I do hope you enjoy.

1) Sorrow Ventaxis: Amara Okereke - Amara has just started in her West End debut as Cosette in Les Miserables, and she looks amazing in period costume. She is also a phenomenal actress, and so was an easy pick to represent how I see Sorrow and the type of actress, if not specifically Amara, whom I would love to play her.

2) Mael Ventaxis: Keiynan Lonsdale - Okay so, little bit of a spoiler but... Mael is a cinnamon roll. So is Keiynan in like every clip I've seen of Love, Simon. And also pretty much every episode of the Flash. He also 100% has the emotional depth to play such a complex character. The perfect Mael.

3) Rasmus: John Lumsden - Rasmus is that best friend you've always been in love with, the one you want to be it, The One, but a little part of you knows it will never work. He's that bright smile when you're down, a shoulder to cry on when things get bad. He's a light amongst the dark. John, who recently played Joly and understudied Marius in Les Miserables, is an absolute sweetheart, just as Rasmus starts off. John also has that little bit of a darker edge to him as well though, an underlying seriousness to develop as the story progresses, which makes him perfect for Rasmus.

4) Irris: Carrie Hope Fletcher - As kick ass as Sorrow is, so is Irris in her own way, and so I think Carrie Fletcher is the perfect person to embody her. I'm a huge fan of Carrie's so I'd love to see two of my fandoms meet, so to speak, if she were to play Irris.

5) Luvian: Aaron Tveit - I have some serious love for Tveit, just as I do for Luvian, and I think he would be an amazing Luvian. Cute, but a little bit mysterious, maybe even broody.

What do you think of my State of Sorrow fancast? As always feel free to leave a comment below or @ me on Twitter!

Thanks for reading!
