Waiting on Wednesday: Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

Hey guys! It's time for another Waiting on Wednesday and today I'm spotlighting one of my most anticipated 2018 releases! It is of course Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi!

Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.
But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.
Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.
Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this book! Most importantly of course it is an own voices book, which we just don't seem to have enough of in YA these days (Or what we do have just isn't promoted nearly enough)! I am so excited to see everything this amazing debut author has in store for us, and the powerful story that is without a doubt lurking behind such a gorgeous, equally powerful, cover.

I'm also so excited for this book simply because I adore well written fantasy novels, and this just sounds INCREDIBLE. Yes, the caps lock is necessary. I am so excited to finally get my hands on this beauty! March 6th cannot come soon enough!

Are you excited for Children of Blood and Bone? As always feel free to leave a comment below or @ me on Twitter!

Thanks for reading!
